Pressing Instructions

DTF Transfer Pressing Instructions

Important Note:
You must use a heat press with adjustable pressure.

The following machines will not provide the required pressure and will lead to poor adhesion:

  • Auto-Presses (ex: HTVRONT Auto Heat Press)
  • Handheld presses (ex: Cricut Easy Press)
  • Household irons

✅ Using a commercial heat press is recommended for the best quality finished product.

Pressure: Heavy pressure (approximately 60 lbs)
Polyester: 270°F/6 seconds
Tri-Blend: 270°F/6 seconds
50/50 Cotton/Poly Blend: 275°F/8 seconds
100% Cotton: 300°F/8 seconds

Second Press

After peeling the film, press again for 5 seconds using your preferred finishing sheet - some examples include parchment paper, teflon sheet, kraft paper, a white cotton tee, or a textured sheet.

Troubleshooting Tip

If edges lift, your pressure is too low. Increase your pressure setting and repress.
